Marge Wheeler is a life-long resident of the San Francisco area who has had her life colored by the panorama of the Bay Area. Her interest in music preceded her nursing education. She studied flute and piccolo in the music departments of the San Francisco Public Schools. This experience later led to the study of the piano as an adult. She continues her music studies privately in the San Francisco area with classically trained musicians affiliated with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the San Francisco Opera Company.

Marge's earliest compositions were a natural outgrowth from band music played in Junior High and High School Bands. Her four marches for band have been performed in the San Francisco area and in Washington, D.C. More recently, Marge has written for classical guitar and balalaika, piano, piano - four hands, flute, piccolo, violin, and voice. Her most recently completed work is a Slavonic Dance for piano and violin.

Marge lives with her husband, Dave, and two Scottish Terriers in Mt. Shasta, California and continues her dual career in music composition and nursing. Music appears to be taking over a greater portion of that career with all the music, Marge says, she has yet to write down.
